Some data plans place specific limits (quotas) on the volume of data that can be transferred across the Internet connection during a given time period (typically, one month).
Because these scammers have established themselves with must trust from their followers they lure their victims to contact them privately via whatsapp or personal messengers of which they request payment before transfer of these “CHEAP” data bundles from their source but after the money is transferred to them for the “DATA” bundle.
Then after several hours of delay scammers will explain that the delay of DATA transaction is as a result of network failure, They then ignore voice calls and message reply’s, After which they block or blacklist your contacts. In some cases these fraudsters may threaten or even deny receiving any money from you but such happenings must be reported immediately to the network involved for swift action to be taken.
Some of these scammers tricks may come as a surprise to many but “NEVER TRUST ANYBODY ONLINE” when conducting business deals unless you meet face to face or you physically inspect the item or Confirm transactions before making money payments else you can be scammed of huge sums of money in Ghana.
